Titanium

Titanium is a strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant metal known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and high performance in extreme environments. It is commonly alloyed with elements such as aluminum, vanadium, and molybdenum to enhance its mechanical and chemical properties.

Titanium and its alloys are widely used in aerospace, marine, medical, chemical processing, and industrial applications due to their high resistance to corrosion, especially from seawater and chlorine-based compounds. Common titanium grades include Grade 2 (commercially pure), Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), and Grade 7 (with palladium for enhanced corrosion resistance), conforming to standards like ASTM B348, B265, and B381.
